Professor Emeritus Alan Rocke was recently quoted in a New York Times article entitled “Is It Time to Upend the Periodic Table?” written by Siobhan Roberts. Professor Rocke, who specializes in the History of Science, offered his expertise on some of the alternative forms of the periodic table that were conceptualized in the 19th century, before the version we know today was universally recognized.
