Professor Ted Steinberg’s book titled Down to Earth: Nature’s Role in American History was included in a list of inspiring and informative books on climate change, compiled by Julia Fine for Teen Vogue. As part of Teen Vogue’s “Green Dream” series, Field reached out to 11 climate activists for recommended reading on the subject, and Professor Steinberg’s book was submitted by Natalie Blackwelder, commissioner of sustainability at Santa Barbara City College. In her brief review for the article, Blackwater writes “Down to Earth made me realize that this country was founded on exploitation and that everything we do has an impact.” See the entire list of here, and purchase Professor Steinberg’s book here.
