Professor Ananya Dasgupta, who specializes in Modern South Asian History, will serve as a panelist at the Happy Dog Takes on the World event: The Conflict over Kashmir. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 7:30-8:45 p.m. at Happy Dog’s location on Detroit Ave. The panelists will explore the recent decision by the Indian government to revoke special status of Indian-controlled Kashmir, and will discuss what this means for Kashmiris and the future of Indian democracy.
